Imagine the surprise finding this dumb thing in the middle of my 200As. I don't remember where it came from or how long I've had it. It just appeared. It is one of the 2021 "Seasons" lanterns that were made for Coleman Japan. Originally, they came in an ugly clamshell case but I suspect that a number of them made it out of the factory without a clamshell or cardboard box, based on a little research.

It didn't have the original "120" globe on it so I added an unmarked amber version because it looks a lot better than a cheapie Chinese replacement globe.

And I'll tell you that it is, without doubt, the cheapest lantern my old hands have ever held. Oh my, "quality" I'd expect to see on an electric LED lantern. The ventilator has about half the weight of a 200A vent, with two really flimsy tabs to hold the glass down. And they do a really poor job. If you pick the lantern up by the ventilator, it will canter it to one side and looks ridiculous. Really poor design and quality.

When was the last time you saw a post 1980s lantern that didn't tell you the model number on the frame rest? Really? It takes a 285A generator but has one mantle. Maybe a 200B with an upgraded 285A valve & generator? I don't know but it is sure is odd.

There is some light scuffing on the paint which I tried to highlight in the photos. They are just scuffs, not scratches or dents. Otherwise, it is just like it came fresh out of a box. I just don't think it ever had one.
