A really clean lantern that I used a few times camping and ice fishing. Very clean example of the painted version of the 242C. There are small areas of discoloration in the bare metal pieces, and the ventilator is not as shiny as it once was. One side of the vent has a little chipping around the bail slot.

You'll see the excessive paint on the bottom of the fount. I've examined it closely and firmly believe that it retains the original paint job from Wichita. I've had this one for years and it did not come from my travels this past summer where I did find some repaints. This one has original paint.

Lantern was rebuilt and starts/runs great. Has new valve stem packing and filler cap gasket, all else cleaned and retained. Globe is probably the original--it is a faded green label "Coleman" version.
